Why die in a bunch of lies?

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel – which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: if anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!”‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1:6-9‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

“my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. ‘Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.”  ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

These are very strong words coming from the Apostle Paul towards those people who concoct doctrines and teachings to cause people to stray for the good news of Jesus Christ.

If way back then in the early church these doctrines had started to appear just imagine the number of currently existing false doctrines being taught in our times more than 2000 years later! 

The goal of a false doctrine is to cause a person to stray and stay away from the absolute first hand truth. The result of a false doctrine is that its adherents live in error and die for an illusory purpose.  To put it bluntly misguided people live and die for a lie or a bunch of them!

Who can be a victim of a false doctrine? Anyone who is ignorant, simple-minded, lazy, unfortunate, unschooled, brainwashed,illiterate, zealously misguided, slow to understand,uninterested or unconcerned.

Medically, politically, economically, socially and spiritually, multitudes of people live and die unnecessarily from a lack of knowledge or know-how every single day. Are you going to be one of them?

It is better to spend ones life in pursuit of the absolute truth and hinge your life on it when you find it, than to passively accept anything you are told without thoroughly, actively and sincerely checking to see if you have boarded your brain on the right doctrinal train that should take your soul to your right destination!

I do not even remember when it became so fashionable in the so-called mainstream Western media to be stupidly scornful of God and of the written testimonies of the holy and righteous people, who sacrificed their lives to bring us the full and correct truth about how to save our souls.  

Making mockery of God and of the truth are the weirdest things I’ve ever seen in my entire life. This generation has run amok! God has revealed the pure truth how to secure and save your soul for eternity and you prefer ephemeral philosophies instead? “Like, Seriously?”

Please do yourself the favour of your life and pay closer attention to the Life, Works and Words of Jesus Christ. Examine and take heed of  the recorded testimonies of those who first followed followed him. 

These messages are pure and truthful and help you to live soberly and correctly. Through them you will make enormous progress in your life and your work and will preserve and secure your soul forever. 

Do not be lazy and too quick to be dismissive of the Bible. Actively seek the truth from it and you will never ever regret it.  You can trust your life on its integrity!

Attitude, attitude, attitude!

Mar 9:35 And He sat down and called the Twelve and said to them, If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.

Joh_11:40 Jesus answered her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?

Luk 6:38 Give, and it shall be given to you, good measure pressed down and shaken together and running over, they shall give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you measure, it shall be measured to you again.

Luk 6:35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return. And your reward shall be great, and you shall be the sons of the Highest. For He is kind to the unthankful and to the evil.

Mar_8:35 For whoever will save his life shall lose it; but whoever shall lose his life for My sake and the gospel’s, he shall save it.

2Co_12:10 Therefore I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am powerful.

Jas_4:6 But the grace that God gives is even stronger. As the scripture says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

1Pe_5:5 In the same way you younger people must submit yourselves to your elders. And all of you must put on the apron of humility, to serve one another; for the scripture says, “God resists the proud, but shows favor to the humble.”

Php 2:3 Don’t do anything from selfish ambition or from a cheap desire to boast, but be humble toward one another, always considering others better than yourselves.

Php 2:4 And look out for one another’s interests, not just for your own.

Php 2:5 The attitude you should have is the one that Christ Jesus had…

Most people want to be beneficiaries of good but pay little attention to doing good to others. In the bid to prove others wrong, most people are willing to do the wrong thing. In the bid to justify themselves, many people become unjust. You cannot stop someone being selfish by becoming selfish yourself.

So also some people think that they can become rich by making others poor. They believe that they can become famous by ruining the reputations of others and intelligent by making fools of others. Some people think that they can become smart by trying to outwit other people. Many folks want to be first by making others last and want to survive by depriving others of their survival. But these types of attitudes only serve to actually pollute and poison the peace of the public.

It often takes the collective effort of people living in the right way to counter balance the awful and reckless things that people do which could easily cause a community to disintegrate into full blown armed conflict and self destruction.

So how does God the Creator expect people to live together? Well, all the righteous laws of God command us to keep on behaving and living in the correct way towards other people in just the way that we would like to have them to live towards us.

We must live by adopting and cultivating the right attitude and tendencies towards other people.

The right and correct way is to ensure that you must be prepared to give to others the very things that you would like for yourself . Whatever you would like people to do for you, that is exactly what you should endeavour to do for them. 

Mat_7:12 “Do for others what you would want them to do for you. This is the meaning of the Law of Moses and the teaching of the prophets.

Luk_6:31 Do for others what you want them to do for you.

This is what true religion is all about. The right and correct way to live is to do exactly what you would like others to do for you. Become a true example of what you would like people to really be like. If you want people to be fair to you, then be fair and do not become a mean and unfair person. If you would like people to share with you ,then you must also be a sharing person and stay that way. Do not become selfish and wicked just because others are selfish and wicked in the bid to ‘teach them a good lesson’. That is no good lesson. This is called unforgiveness and revenge. God commands you to forgive and not to take revenge. Do not pay back evil for evil. Live by example. This is how human beings were made to conduct themselves.

You want someone to honour an agreement with you? Then you must always honour your agreements too. You cannot teach someone else to honour an agreement by breaking your agreements.

Granted, human beings are difficult to live with. Some people love to take so much advantage of your kindness that they could strip you clean off everything you have without so much as a single prick of the conscience. Such people must be dealt with firmly but with a demonstration of loving correction. Love is not a weak word. People who are mean, greedy and wicked must be taught to behave properly by a firm but positively oriented authority and not by a vengeful spirit. Vengefulness only breeds more hatred and wickedness,just as we can see through the unending wars in some parts of the world today.

So make up your mind today to do good always regardless of how others behave towards you. Have the right and positive attitude that God expects of you. You may not necessarily go around the place prancing and dancing for joy all day long, but you will surely have a positive influence on yourself and on the people around you.

You can start with a genuine warm and unwipeable smile in your heart today. Determine to let someone else smile today.

Obey God and do good to others just as you would have them do good to you today! You will be glad you did!

 

 

Anybody home?

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. The human brain is like a firmly congealed water-based mushroom but it just also happens to be a temporary dwelling place or a temporary storage space for our minds. 

We know that both our brains and our minds and thought processes were created by their creator, God, and are definitely and superbly wired to be able to communicate or relate to and with God and with other created living things. 

The capacity to use our brains is subject to our ability to switch on and switch off, to direct or redirect, retain or discard data or information at will. This is called thinking. We tend to store information we choose to deem valid or useful for our own pleasures purposes and profit. The rest we prefer to discard or surpress. The data and information we receive is transmitted to us by our Creator and by other created things and beings. We also equally  transmit information. In brief,  we were built to communicate for a profitable purpose.

Now when we refuse to think about or refuse to relate to or refuse to communicate with our Creator in a profitable way, we are called lost, stupid, blind, naive, unwise, fools, misguided, deceived or crazy. Ironically that’s what those who are disconnected from God also think  of those who are connected to God. So put down your money on whoever you think will be proven right or wrong!

The Writings or Scriptures of the inspired writers in the Bible and notably here in Proverbs, Psalms and James say that you need to listen to the voice of God coming to you through creation,telling you of Gods existence, His magnificence and commands. Consider and think through what such a Creator has planned for you and for those who obey Him. Be interested in homing in to His signals and messages to you personally and do not switch off His frequency or you will eventually lose your soul and mind forever.

Here is one small thought to consider. It is revealed that there is a heaven and there is a hell. But some people say “Impossible rubbish! It’s all fairy tales and imagination!” In contrast, someone who is wise will think about the description of hell and of heaven and want to carefully consider the best option. Can’t the Creator of a boiling hot and outlasting sun also create an infinitesimal heated abyss to dispose of His enemies? If He created heat, He must know how to make things as hot or as cool as He wishes? 

Can’t the one who made the naturally beautiful places of this temporary earth also create a place of everlasting beauty for those who really please and obey Him and call it Heaven? 

This is worth deep thought and research. God Himself says that if you seek for Him with all your heart you will find Him. This means you have got to at least make a serious effort to consciously put in some thought and work to get to know God your Creator. It’s worth everything!

If you have not made time to search for God what are you waiting for? Seek Him diligently until you find Him. 

The best hint I can provide for you to find God is to take a closer and a good thorough look at Jesus Christ today and consider Him. 

Open that Bible and read and think about who Jesus Christ really is and about what He is saying. Get on with it today!

Save Your Breath! For real!

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.’”‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

“They replied, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved – you and your household.’”‭‭Acts‬ ‭16:31‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” The second is this: “Love your neighbour as yourself.” There is no commandment greater than these.’”‭‭Mark‬ ‭12:30-31‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

“‘If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you for ever – the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”  ‭‭John‬ ‭14:15-17‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

“Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: ‘The person who does these things will live by them.’  But what does it say? ‘The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,’ that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: if you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”  Romans‬ ‭10:4-5, 8-9‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

The secret of escaping the fury of the unknown future is found not in wishful thinking and winning arguments and debates as our souls spiral towards a definite destination. It is found in making a decision as we approach the forked paths that suck our souls up to heaven or to hell. There’s no third option. You jump off one track and you are on the road to heaven. You jump on the other and you’re on the way to hell. 

This my friends is the truthful and factual reality. Whether you choose to jump wearing a fur coat or a grass skirt doesn’t make any difference. Everything that clings to our souls will be stripped clean off, as we head off in one direction or the other. No more superfluity. Nothing will be hidden any more.  Our souls are destined to be laid bare before the stark naked truth in an eternal heaven or an eternal hell!

To be on the track to heaven means we are saved and to choose the opposite is to be lost in an abysmal eternity!

This is the full story and the noise and great clamour of Christianity. This, my friends, is why we do not keep silent. This is the reason why, in spite of all the meanness and persecution that we may face, we will not stop shouting out warnings and alerts to our friends and loved ones!

Jesus Christ came from heaven to lead us to heaven and we have just got to trust Him to lead us safely there. There’s is no time to gamble with your destiny. We are caught up with so much activity in life that life just slips by too fast to its finish line in this world. Every other noise that you hear in this life is calibrated to distract you from this truth: your job, your projects, your pet hopes and dreams, your investments, and the glitz and glamour of the bazaars of life. If you put your trust in these you will suddenly run out of the breath of life and be lost forever, not having had sufficient time to put eternity into its proper and correct perspective.

The secret of this truth I am telling you is what generations of people of integrity have even sacrificed their lives to pass on to the next generation.

Just read how the Apostle John, who lived and worked with and had first  direct contact with Jesus Christ, summarises it all:

“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:11-14‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

We are fighting a formidable fight for our souls, for the souls of our loved ones, for the souls of our acquaintances and for the souls of whoever will pay serious attention. This is no scary fable. It is the horrible reality. Closing your eyes and pretending that all is well is not going to automatically fix or solve problem.

The instructions to be saved in eternity are these:

1. Put your full trust in Jesus Christ

Jesus says in John 14:

“‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.’ Thomas said to him, ‘Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?’ Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”‭‭John‬ ‭14:1-6‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

2. Love God and put His interests first in every thing that you are doing. Abandon doing anything that does not honour God. Jettison all that is full of lies, emptiness and crap.

3. Love your fellow human being as you love yourself. Do good to all people even to those who hate you. Respect your life and the lives of others.

If you do everything to stay firmly fixed on this track and be sure to be found on this track at and to the very end of your life on this earth, you can be sure 100% your soul will be sucked up into heaven!

See? I have told you. If you want to hate me for telling you this then I’m sincerely most sorry. But there is no other way out!

May God open your eyes to see this truth and make up your mind to do something about it today, amen!

Balance Life Carried Forward

“Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”

“But seek first God’s kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

I once walked in to a car garage to service my wife’s car which was then a nice small VW Gol. Back then, the Mercedes Kompressor had just been released and put on display in the car show-room. As I stood admiring the glittering sleek beast, a acquaintance of mine who, probably worked there, walked up to me and said “Mr George, na foh buy am!” (That’s in my language Krio, means “You must buy it Mr George!”).  I laughed and told him that I could not afford it. He responded, without skipping a beat, “Jos take am! We go dey do balance carried forward nor more so tey go!” (“Just take it, we will just be carrying the balance forward forever!'” Of course we both had a good laugh at that.

The fellow had a point though. This is how the world economy is run anyway. On credit. Take now pay later! Your house, your car, your holidays, your spouse, your life!

 The thing is that most people don’t just give much thought to what lies ahead in life. People are so concentrated on the pleasures of the here and now that most end up blindsided by the obvious things that will inevitably come their way so fast that they end up grieving instead of rejoicing!

Thinking through the length of your lifespan in comparison to eternal life is vital for planning for both this life and the next. 

Most people are so bent on foolishly believing that there is no life hereafter that they trade it in wholesale for the absolute temporary pursuit of fruitless projects this side of eternity. For such people money is everything. Wake? money, work? money, chop? money, sleep? money! 

A friend of mine told me that his friend’s aged and dying dad was still negotiating business deals from his deathbed, refusing all the while to hand over the business to his son! What a confused and sad old man! Granted, he’d most likely lived his life to the fullest fruitlessness in exchange for for nothing in eternity! His money was his god and this money-god had used him up and was soon to abandon him forever at death’s door!

I was once talking to an African man in France about Jesus Christ and about salvation. He quickly disrupted me, begging me to “stop! stop! stop! stop! stop! stop!” I said “What?” He replied with a real look of worry on his face: “You are ruining my plans!” I asked what his plans were and he responded : “To make money! And what you are telling me is going to mess up my plans!”  “So, money is your god?” I asked him. “Yes! He said emphatically, “Money is my God!”

Everybody knows that money is necessary for living a decent life but how an object of service can be elevated to the position of an object of worship is exactly the same as drug addiction! It rules your life!

The true secret of real wealth is to know for sure that God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth has got your back. This same Creator tells you to make it your number one priority and interest to let Him rule your life and then He will take care of the rest! He is not asking you to suspend your thinking faculties in presumptuous pursuits of “blind faith”! He is telling you to fully engage your mental, moral and spiritual commodities in obeying what He is telling you to do. Then He will ensure you get real value for your life and earthly work both in this world and the next.

It is by far best to do what God instructs than to lap up whatever godless theory or practice your neighbourhood crazy scientist, potty philosopher or socially disgruntled professor publishes. These people are ordinary mortals who will all have to stand alongside you to render accounts to the same eternally sound and solid God they rejected. You cannot and must not take the risk of trading your eternal destiny on the altar of a temporary earthly high, trafficked to you by some anti-religious nutter!

Don’t play with your eternal soul! Don’t trade your life’s worth for money! Let money be your slave and not your boss! And let God rule as number 1 in your life! You will never ever regret it!

Parroting Sheep?

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-8‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

Many times we sing songs without thinking about what we are singing. We just mouth through the words like bleating sheep without due regard to the spirit and sense of the lyrics.

No wonder most of us are ineffective in our relationship with God. We just cannot seem to apply our so-called ‘faith’ to the challenging situations we face in our daily lives!

We do the same thing with our national anthems. Oh we can sing with gusto and fervour but are so useless when it comes to going the extra mile to do what we say we will do in song!

We may also sing along with godless satanic songs without knowing that we’re mouthing sensuous allegiance to the Devil. All we may be interested in is to be carried along with the rhythm and the beat. No wonder again some people live calamitously on the edge of life and end up absolutely hopelessly fruitless.

May God truly have mercy upon us.

Stop Playing Religion!

“Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.”‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:20‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

I have always been baffled at the ability of human beings to be outwardly religious but inwardly ravenous.

How can people clearly openly disobey God and still lay claim to follow God? This just does not make any sense at all.

When Israel disobeyed God and still tried to pretend to make sacrifices to God, God told the Prophets to tell them that He could not tolerate all their religious tomfoolery!

“‘I hate, I despise your religious festivals; your assemblies are a stench to me.”‭‭Amos‬ ‭5:21‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

Today we see so-called religious institutions unravelling righteousness and replacing it with clear acts of abomination and then trying to pass these off as godliness. We see people going to churches and mosques and then quarrelling, stealing, killing, and abusing each other and making mockery of God by misusing His name!

What a big backfiring joke! What an idiocy! Are you serious? 

Think about the things that you are doing in the name of religion. Be careful of what you believe. Watch out on what or whose philosophy you are hinging your opinions, decisions and your lifestyle.

You are safest when you default your opinions towards the well tried and well tested simple truths and revelations that Jesus Christ brings to you. 

So read the Bible yourself and find out what God expects of you 

Turn away from the useless and godless falsehoods of Hollywood-like superfluity of life. To God, you are not a celebrity, you are not a star, you are not famous. Your oil, money and your looks cannot save your soul in eternity! You are just an ordinary human-being made of flesh and blood with a mind and spirit that will be held accountable by your Creator!

Quit playing religion and get serious and steady with God today!

Ungoof Yourself Today!

“‘Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

Many men and even many women nowadays, I’m told, hate to stop and ask for directions. Worse still, they especially don’t like it when their spouses tell them that they’re headed in the wrong direction. And just to prove that they’re in control and just to protect their egos, many will keep on stubbornly going in the same wrong direction, hoping that somehow they’ll be proven right, even though inwardly they are fully aware that they’ve messed up!

Reminds me of this video clip of a man exercising on a treadmill and ogling so much at a woman’s behind that he falls off with such a noise. Then to save face, he quickly turns his embarrassingly odd fall into a series of press ups, still hoping to impress the woman. This is called foolishness!

But many people live their whole lives like this. They feel that since they’ve goofed up in life, they might as well turn goofy and stay goofy.

If at some point in your life took a hit and you disappointed yourself and those who looked up to you, why do you decide to continue down the path of disappointment, vainly hoping that somehow things will suddenly all just fall into place?

Some people take life’s blows full on the chin and still chin up instead of going to look for the right help and healing. They really convince themselves that they can turn things around all by themselves. In the end they die very bitter with life and full of misplaced pride.

Some people even go further to create a whole heap of theories and philosophies to justify their mess and then entice others to follow their nonsensical monumental mistakes! But this too is total stupidity and foolishness.

Some people love to say “when life throws you lemons, make lemonade!” This may sound all nice and comforting but honestly! Did you really want lemonade in the first place?

What we should be doing when we mess up is to stop and think and then turn around and start doing the right things. We may not be able to totally fix the results of our errors but we will at least be back on the right track! This is what repentance is all about! The word ‘repent’ means to stop, turn and head back or simply turn back!

God gives everyone a chance and often more than one chance to hear His words and to start again rebuilding a rock solid guarantee to secure eternal life for themselves.

I love the statement “it is never too late to start again.” The only snag is that eventually it does become too late to build, if everyday you keep putting off starting to build.

“ again set a certain day, calling it ‘Today’. This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: ‘Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.’”  ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

Today, why not stop listening to the silly advice of sore losers, who by foolish pride don’t want to repent from their mistakes in order to get to heaven and then want to also do everything to stop you too from getting there and benefitting from Gods love and healing forgiveness?

Why not seek help and ask for forgiveness today from God through Jesus Christ who died for your sake, who forgives your sins, who saves you from the wrath of Gods judgment and who rose again from the dead to guarantee you a full and eternal life?

Stop, think and turn back today!

Running Your Life on Fumes?

“‘I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”‭‭John‬ ‭15:5‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

“treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.”

Here in my part of Africa, the majority of us with cars habitually live on reserve-tank fuel levels with just enough daily toppings to get by with sufficient enough dignity. It’s a habit.  Occasionally we might decide to fill up to the very top. But to be honest those ‘decisions’ are an absolute rarity.

Once I decided to risk not “topping up” as usual on the way to drop off my kid at school. Everything inside me was screaming at me that I was going to make a ‘public embarrassment’ of myself. I say public embarrassment not just because I would run out of fuel but because how I was dressed was just short of pyjamas, old paint-stained shorts, old T Shirt and rubber slippers. 

I thought “oh, I’ll just risk it!” But I kept hearing this loopy voice in my head saying “Murphy’s Law! Murphy’s Law!” Another voice said, “Humbug! The fuel station will make you late, just top up on the way back!”

Sure enough, whatever would go wrong did go wrong and I ended up stuck in the middle of the road, blocking traffic, rebuking myself and refusing to descend from my vehicle for fear of a dent in my self perceived image. Worse still, I had to dial a taxi friend to come get me, return home to get more money and  do return trips to the station and back to my car. 

Fortunately, to help salvage my “public image”, the taxi driver graciously offered to do all the dirty work of funnelling fuel into my tank but I ended up paying 4.5 times more than I had planned to spend that morning!

You see, the temptation to live your life without Jesus Christ and to try to “just manage” to get by with the little morality you’ve gleaned from your parents, your school teachers and your ‘religious’ leaders, is so so attractive! Yet it is woefully insufficient to save your life and may cost you the dignity of your eternal destiny.

Many many people may appear religiously sound on the surface, but deep down they’re just living from hand to mouth, on reserve tank, as they shuttle to and from church each week. They are spiritually powerless and are often an embarrassment to the name of Jesus Christ. Such people make so much fuss about being ‘Christians’ but when you see what they do and how they conduct themselves even in public, they are more of a disservice and a disgrace to the name of Jesus Christ. They are devoid of the out-working of the power of God and are a very poor and very terrible example of Jesus Christ.

Such folk won’t hesitate to jettison godliness for money or trade their faith for phoney fame. Some, after they have finished displaying their rudeness and immorality for money in their TV Movies or music video  clips, have the audacity to hold up their man-made awards and say :” First of all I want to give all the glory to God for helping me to achieve this coveted award!” Phooey! 

Without Jesus Christ filling up your life, you run the risk of not having enough potential power to get you through the long, hard and rough roads of life. Without Jesus Christ filling up your life, you cannot measure up to all that God intended you to be. Without Jesus Christ filling up your life, the constant and unyielding challenges that life throws at you will eventually knock you flat, frustrated and finished you off. 

Without Jesus Christ filling up your mind and heart, you will not be able to maintain and sustain good and loving relationships with the ‘annoying’ people around you, as you ought. 

Oh, you may only just be able to get by, but I tell you, your life and relationships with other people will hit one crisis after another. And in the end it will be very costly for you!

Why not save yourself a lot of headache and take the cue from what Jesus Himself told His disciples in private? He said to them “for without me you can do nothing!”

Why bother to look somewhere else for what is already at your doorstep to help you get through life? Look to Jesus Christ and fill up your head and heart with adequate knowledge of Him. 

Really start obeying what He is telling you to do. Stop pretending to be a believer when in reality you are not. 

Get serious with Jesus Christ today!

Post Waste Post Haste!

“Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent, and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.”‭‭James‬ ‭1:21‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

It’s amazing how very quickly we naturally create litter and junk every single day! It’s even more mind-boggling how hard it is to throw out the trash before it starts stinking up the whole place. 

How very quickly the delicious food we eat turns into the maggot-ridden putrid mess we wouldn’t want to touch with our hands, but which essentially is already sitting in our stomachs! 

And oh how humbling it is to lower our pants and bums down each time behind closed doors(wherever affordable) and sit on the toilet for some real internal garbage dumping!

What miracle is it that allows our bodies to process the same tasty food that turns rotten before our eyes in less than 24hrs, into both life-supporting nutrients and fertilising waste-matter at the same time?

How so easy it is to turn something pure into adulterate-material. The words we speak, the love we share, the gestures we make, the things we watch and the way we feel are all so very quickly degradable into a repulsive moral mulch!

Our thought-life and moral conduct need to be cleaned up every single day by a process of humbling acceptance that our faculties need to be sanitised each day.

We must ask God for our daily bread to feed but we must also humbly ask God for daily forgiveness to be cleansed. 

We must be determined to get rid of all the social and moral junk that insists upon filling up our mind and view space. 

This purification process is deliberate hard work, not unlike throwing out the trash from our homes or even sitting on the toilet. And it is a humble and humbling daily exercise.

If in the early Bible days the moral stench was already so prevalent, what type of biblical description could be given to the unspeakable level of moral pungency of this present generation? 

Be determined to actively participate in getting rid of the pervasive rubbish that demands your daily attention.

It’s not cool to be morally decrepit. All the lies about how great it is to be hateful and mean as marketable is bunk! And bunk must be debunked and junked! Period!

Humble yourself today and clean up your act. Go behind closed doors, sit still for a few minutes and read the Bible. Pray and let God’s word cleanse and properly flush out your dirty mind. Reset. Then get up, get out and go about your business!
